Cat Pics

It used to be that when one wanted to show off their favorite Cat Pics, those pictures would be of grandchildren. Now, however, the antics and odd expressions of our pets have quickly joined the ranks of favorites to show off and among those, certainly, are Cat Pics. Cats have such expressive faces and can get themselves embroiled in all sorts of fanciful predicaments that we just have to snap photos of them.

As we all know, cats can be, at times cute, mischievous, and even angry and we love all of those expressions on our cats. Each temper tantrum and spilled food item makes perfect cat pics that will make us smile for years. One of the all-time favorite occupations of a cat is investigating something new. They have no idea if this new thing is good or bad, whether it can hurt them or not; they just have to explore it. When you can grab a photo of a cat poking around in
something like that and especially if it makes the cat jump, then you have a real photo to brag about.

Now, just thinking about getting a cat to pose or to sit still for a photo session can make you cringe. Just keep in mind that most of the greatest cat pics were genuinely spontaneous and not posed at all. While many of the captioned pictures you see online are photo shopped, quite a number of them are real and not faked in any way.

With a bit of planning, taking darling cat pics is easier than you might think. The most important thing needed when taking photos of your cat is patience. The best term to describe a cat, overall, not just when trying to grab a photo, is unpredictable. You know it’s true. Cats can sit still for hours and just as you are getting ready to snap the picture, the cat shows disdain for the whole thing and leaves the room.

Bring in props for the cat to bat around and play with or a blanket for the cat to lie on; the cat’s instinct will take over and you can get your perfect shot. If you try and induce the cat to an object on the floor or furniture, check your lighting to make sure the cat won’t put that item into shadows as it approaches. Do you want a close up shot or a full body pic? Have these things worked out well in advance of the cat showing up so you can be ready with the camera
when the cuteness starts.

Simply taking pictures of your cat is easy; taking good cat pics is another matter altogether. Since rarely do things go according to plan when working with cats, be prepared with everything in advance. Remember, cats are some of the most independent animals on the planet and if they don’t want to participate in having their picture taken, you could have a rough go of it. When they feel like it, cats can move rather quickly so your shutter speed will

need to keep up. Flash cameras or even noisy cameras will almost always guarantee that you won’t get a second shot any time soon. Use natural light whenever possible to avoid spooking the cat away. Another downfall to flash photos is the glowing eyes of your cat in the finished photo.

Websites are created just for viewing the silly and impulsive antics of cats. Forums and photo galleries are created just to share the humor of the stories behind the pictures. Cat lovers from all over the world want to show off the beloved cats and tell you all about them. If you are so like-minded, give them a look and you’ll be enchanted at all of the escapades and adventures shown in the cat pics of these galleries.

Each photo comes with a story to tell and boy, some of them are doozies. So the next time someone wants to show you their photos and you see cats hear them out, they will probably make you laugh. Share with them your own mishaps and attempts at photographing your cat. The greatest cat pics look as though they are the result of spontaneous, impetuous and unexpected quick shots. When in truth, the photographer probably painstakingly planned every moment and every scenario possible to get that shot. The end product is a darling Cat Pics that you can be proud of.
